Hi All,
Does anyone have a recommendation on how to tile over an old sandstone hearth? I know sandstone is porous and not sure if I have to put cement board down first and if I can attach the board to the sandstone with thinset. Thanks for the help!

Hi guys,
I recently had an indian sandstone patio installed, it looked great until I tried to seal it. After sealing I have been left with faint white spots on the slabs.

Hi,
I'm repointing my indian sandstone patio with a dry mix (4:1). Tried a test area first, but when I brush the mix into the joints the dust is staining the sandstone. Is this OK?? I've brushed off as much dust as I can. The stone hasn't been sealed.
Any advice would be welcome!
Pete
