I recently visited an establishment and went to use the facilities and this was it! I was gobsmacked I thought it was so lovely. I love the pink tiles!
Recently had a building company replace a leaking wet room floor, located on the 1st floor of a 1930's built terrace house.
The tiles are large format porcelain tiles sitting on a Ditra Matt supported by 18" plywood. The rusty trowel that he left before the bank holiday w/e gave me some...
Hi guys, I would be very grateful for some advice about wether it is necessary to use acrylic primer on the walls in my cloakroom toilet wall. I ask because to me it looks grey like sand/cement mix? Its a 1955 council house. The walls aren't smooth like normal plaster elsewhere in the house...
Hi All. How can I match my tile trim to my tiles? The tiles are rose quartz. Unusual shades of purple & mauve. I have a RAL shade chart as I am getting some green trim coloured to the RAL code for my en-suite bathroom tiles. But there is not even a close match for the rose quartz. Does anyone...
How would one tile around a toilet where the concrete subfloor stops about an inch or so in diameter around the actual drain? From what I understand the tile needs to go under the toilet flange? The subfloor is brand new but amateur cutting produced this dynamic situation. Please see pic. Any...
Hi all, please see attached picture of where the toilet is located on the wall that's straight In front of the door. In the picture you can see the centre line drawn on the wall that I was going to have a grout line and use this as my starting point.
My issue is as you can see the toilet is not...
Hi Everyone,
Hope all’s okay.
Regarding cutting hole for waste pipe for toilet.
The floor tiles are down.
The waste pipe hole could be slightly higher due to tile thickness.
I haven’t seen what toilet is going to be fit as the mother in law hasn’t bought it yet. ( the difference between outlaws...
Just wondered who scored and then fingered the tile before nipping or who uses a grinder and if you have dust extraction (if not what do you do when its raining)?
I was thinking around basin etc
I've just ripped out the loo in the house we rent. Unfortunately I don't really have a plan of how it is going to look! Room is 2m x 1.1m. I'm only going to half tile the walls ( about 1m or so ).
I won't be using @3_fall 's offcuts..
Someone posted a bathroom with plank floor that followed up...
I've got a tiny toilet off my bedroom only 2ft wide and 6 foot long. I am about to rip out all toilet and sink fittings and I'm looking to tile the walls and replace tiles on floor. Does anyone have any ideas for tiles that would suite the walls .I have saw some blue glass mosaic tiles in...
I was aware of the problem with the old toilet that it would sweat a bit ( condensation) - it was dealt with by just wiping it up+ I thought It was leaking because of the amount of water everywhere , However now that I have re-done the whole bathroom ,including replacing some rotten floorboard...
So I'm working away tiling a bathroom when the owner comes up to say they need the loo. Just as i'd set the laser in front of the toilet of cause..... so rather than standing outside I shin out to the van. Hears the flush so comes back in. They had only gone for a number two. Proper stinker...
Have been asked to lay electric UFH in a bathroom with 12mm travertine on top. The question is the toilet - in the past I have always wired around the toilet bowl & allowed one tile to sit beneath it unheated however am I simply better to have the bowl down on the insulation boards & not only...
Hi,
I'm looking for some advice on a couple of points when tiling my hallway & downstairs toilet.
The hallway is approx. 4m long and 1.8m wide. While it is pretty level, it does have a dip at about 1m in of approx. 4-5mm and then comes back flat again. I'm laying 12mm ext ply over the t&g...
Hi all,
All going well on the tiling front until I do a test fit of the wall hung toilet. I sit down on it with my not inconsiderable 90kg frame.... a little bit of flex and bang!!!
2 tiles cracked and a panel of marmox removed - I discover the culprit.....
Our joiner has left around 9mm...
Thanks to some great help from this forum I've managed to finish tiling the walls in my bathroom. Really satisfying feeling and I'm pleased with the result. Just the grouting, siliconing and the floor to do now.
We had plumbers come in and take the sink and toilet off the walls so...
