1 Part or 2 Part Adhesive???

Hi, gonna ask this question here, but will put future questions in the relavant sections, Ok, this one is causing a little confusion for me, I'm going to tile my bath room floor (ceramic tiles) i'm going to lift toilet and sink while i'm at it and lay 12mm exterior ply, now, i know i must use a cement based flexi adhesive, but, do i use a 2 part flexi or is that only if i was laying porcelain tiles. Yes use a 2 part flexi m8.

Always use 2 part adhesives on floors, be it flexi or not.

So would i only use a 1 part flexi if i was laying on concrete.

You answered your own question, cement based adhesives are 2 part adhesives

Yes use a 2 part flexi m8.

E'erm no -
1 part flexi is more than good enough for tiling onto plywood. Use flexi grout also.
Check with adhesive manufacturer for suitability. Most good 1 part flexis are also suitable for porcelain.

No you would use 2 part adhesive, flexi if you like but normal rapid set would be fine for ceramic onto concrete

No need for 2 part !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 part is an adhesive with powder and a seperate flexi additive - a 1 part flexi is good enough - in fact more than good enough for ceramic onto 12mm plywood.

I would allways use a Type 1 on floors, Flexi on wood.

The following is what i thought was right, please correct if wrong

Concrete Floors, Use a cement based adhesive(Rapid Set) for ceramic tiles, no need for flexi, Only use a flexi on concrete floors when laying porcelain.

Correct, but you would use flexi on anything other than ceramic, not just porcelain.

Ok, one more question, when laying any tile on a concrete floor do i need to prime the floor, if so what with.

I think you could get away with PVA but i would always use an acrylic primer, all pva does is seal in the dust where as the primer acts as a bonding agent between the concrete and tile adhesive. Stick to acrylic primer.
