As per Doug and Ken, Hardie 250 is not specified for use on walls.

Yes it is.. but only fixed with adhesive to a flat wall.. not stud work etc.

hi , ive had to stud the wall out ,it was too rough to adhere the board ,

as i cannot find the true height of the new bath,ive left the bottom stud 10mm off the old bath should be ok

hb supply screws I think, but my local supplier don't stock them, so I normally use 25mm spax screws

im going to use the shluler ditra on the floor on top of 20mm ply anyone know of a supplier in the midlands area ?? birmingham prefably ??? thanks

ok ordered the ditra £32 for 4 M2 what adhesive to put it down with ??

also if anyone can help ive a semi pedistal basin in 2 parts 4 holes 4 ragbolts ( masonry fixings )supplied .
im going onto a stud wall ,not boarded yet so i can stud it out . coachbolts ??? pre drilled ???

Use the masonry fixings without the plugs and pilot the holes into the timber. Most fishcer fisings are 8 or 10mm so i pilot around 5 to 7mm.

Make sure the timber behind them goes above and below the level of the basin to stop it pulling downand flexing the wall.

ill be putting full height hardwood studs ,ill struggle to get fishers in its tight up there

coachbolts and a socket ill see how it goes

Ask for basin fixing bolts at your merchants.They are usually fishers and have a coarse thread fro the wall and a 12m thread for the basin nuts and a nylon cammed washer.
