Finally got round to ordering a Makita polisher,
Ordered it Monday night & it arrived at my door at 11 bells this morning.

Had a play about with it earlier & polished the edge of a porc tile I had in the garage.
Almost as good as the factory edge..
Will do me.

Mine arrived in less than 24 hours too.
the pads on porcelain are fantastic.

Never even thought about using it on porcelain!?! I polished out a scratch in a piece of honed and filled Trav. Looked perfect, apart from a couple of small holes that opened up.. I assume you can get some sort of filler/resin for that though.

I use jolly glue for repairs in trav, used jolly glue today for some holes in limestone.
Good stuff & goes off in half an hour.

Really useful piece of kit for a tiler, it's very versatile.

We'll have a range of different backers for these pads from early next year, some cushioned ones that make polishing curves easier.

If you do get it mask off round what you are filling as close to the hole as possible.
It will leave the tile shiny if you don't.
I leave it a couple of minutes then take the tape off & leave to dry.
