... as for screws, i find Spax are easily superior to most of the screws out there, they grip the wood, they pull in tight and stay tight, the heads are formed really nice so you dont slip with your drivers, not the cheapest, but if i have Spax and other stuff, the other stuff just stays in my screw box.

missed this thread first time round but I'd have to agree with Stan on this one, I absolutely love Spax screws I even love the pull out boxes they come in.

Been using them for years and try not to use anything else, that said screwfix do a nice twin thread screw but i forget the manufacturer
