400x300mm tile 10mm thick on plastered wall?

I have purchased some tiles 10mm thick (400x300mm ceramic). The window wall and main bath wall are plaster. the overbath shower wall is plasterboard. Will this be okay or am i taking a chance on the plaster wall? If okay what primer and adhesive and grout could anyone recommend? Any help would be much appreciated.

They are a touch too heavy for plaster walls. You will be exceeding the safe weight limit.

use any good make of primer on the plastered wall,make sure the plaster has cured for 6-8 weeks!

I would expect them to be a tad over weight at 10mm. If i was doing my own Bathroom, i'd probably risk it (only me living here), but i certainly risk it in someone elses house.

depends what plastered substrate is David, gypsum based basecoat and skim I agree. Plasterboard and skim considerably less imo. But still think "unregistered" is exceeding safe weight limits.:builder2:
