52m2 Floating floor

Went to have a look at a job today where the customer wants 4 rooms tiled with 600 x600 porc tiles. All rooms connected(52m2). The floor is a floating floor. Have no idea what it's like as they still have the carpet down. After reading some of the other questions on floating floors i'm a bit unsure wether this is possible without causing me problems.

According to the Weber manual, you need to overboard with ply and fix with at least a 5mm solid bed 2 part adhesive. Finish with flexy grout. Looks fun!!

Even overboarding does'nt 100% guarantee that there will be no movement.

Always Always need to be very very careful with floaters :yes:

I have done a few floating floors, wouldn't touch one again, tell them to get linoleum...and walk away

i went to quote a floor and upon arrival found it was floating, loads of movement, told the customer it couldn't be tiled and walked away, advised the lino type stuff that looks like tiles..Mark.
