Hi. just ordered 60 x 30 travertine walltiles, the supplier gave supagrip adhesive, the tiles are for a newly plastered shower enclosure, would multigrip be a better choice as i dont have time to prime or unibond the surface, thanks in advance.

If you use something like BAL White Star, you'll find you don't need to prime at all. [DLMURL="http://www.powerspeconline.com/pspec_home.htm"]PowerSpec Online Tiling adhesive and grout specifier[/DLMURL] can also give you a really good guide. Only cement based adhesives need a primer before applying as cement and plaster don't mix at all.

correct me if im wrong but the shwer should be tanked with WP1 (or similar) the tanking kit comes with a primer also. Then tile over with White star.

hope this helps.🙂

BAL WP1 will do the job long-term for sure 🙂 If you did it with that, there may not even be a need for something as 'graby' asa white star.

If it is travertine you are fixing you will find that the weight of the travertine is heavier than the weight ratio of the plaster (20 kg/m2) wall. The plaster should be removed and tiled directly onto the plaster board (32 kg/m2) with no scim on.
You should use a acrylic primer then a cement based adhesive as this is much stronger, use a 10 mm round notch floor trowel to apply the adhesive, make sure you seal the travertine before you grout and fill all the holes in
