A bit of advice from a more experienced tiler

As the others!,I think it would be a real head scratcher for you, multiple rooms etc. Your subfloors want to be pan flat, whats your experience with slc?, will you be using a rapid set or standard set adhesive? can you remove skirting boards and architraves without damaging them.To be honest Hunty I'd enlist some help from a more experienced tiler, as previously mentioned you don't want to scupper your confidence at such an early stage in your career. Good luck,
Doug:santa_cheesy:

I would advise getting in someone to give you a hand, though it can be done, this is speaking from experience, my first job was a 50m2 floor running through 25m living room, hallway, understairs and in a cupboard, small toilet, front living room of 14m and vestibule, all with insulation boards and loose wire heating, it all required levelling first. It was a bit of a headache, just took my time setting out and didn't rush, fortunatley the house was empty. I think it is down to the individual. But as I said you would be better sourcing some help...Mark

way too big for you i think porcelains drom b&q are tricky enough id suggest take a more experienced tiler with you learn a few tips from him and split the money dont ruin your rep before u have even begun tiling a display on a five day course is alot different from doin 42 m2 floor

Like LMC says these aren't the easiest of tiles to work with especially if your not feeling confident about the job in the first place.

WAY WAY!! out of your depth with this type of work I'm afraid. The chances of pulling off a shmick job with this type of tile and your experience is very slim indeed.

if i was you i would definetely get an extra pair of hands with experience and also slc beforehand as tiling straight onto concrete for me personally is a no no... good luck with what you choose to do

my opinion is like the majority of the lads, the job is to big for you and probably to awkward for you to set out correctly,as pointed out B&Q porcelain aint the best (different sizes, warping etc)
i am not trying to put you down or dishearten you mate, just an honest opinion.perhaps you could get someone with more experience to help with the job,or even to just set it out for you,but i think if you take it on you will be making a rod for your own back.
If you do decide to go it alone or wioth help i wish you the best of luck, please keep us informed.
Jimmy

Likewise, job too big, get some help, keep us posted try to post some pictures and whatever you decide - good luck

gotta agree with the boys, it's possible but, is it worth ruining your reputation for the sake of experience? i don't live to far from you and can lend a hand. also lmc is nt that far, also grace's dad will think of some more from our area and will pm you with them:8:
