i see it like this...the tiles old and offcuts belong to the customer...i always tell them that they will have to dispose of the waste due to the cost of tipping..they can use the tip for free.

Exactly.

Unless I did a job for some old dear and there wasn't too much and who for whatever reason had no way of anyone else to take them for her, then I might consider taking them with me, but if it was a full bathroom then I'd have to say no, the council will take them for you.
