Acid etch resistance sealer or coating on marble

Understanding that acid will etch marble, has anyone had any experience with a penetrating sealer or coating that will help protect marble from acid etch, if only to buy some time before etching? I would appreciate to hear about it!

Hi Roni..

Most sealers will give what is called a flash point protection.. a certain amount of protection before the acidic solution etches..

what marble is it you have to protect.?

Thanks Dave, my marble is Carrara Marble for a kitchen bench top. I'm not planning on spilling acidic material on it but just in-case, wanted to hear experiences of the best ways to protect it.

Because it is a top make of sealer.. there are others also..
