Best to go for a sound proofing membrane like Regupol, Botamont or Schluters ditra-sound. Stick it down, preferably use Bals acousti bond as it helps to deaden sound further as it doesn't contain sand (though you can just use a suitable adhesive for the substrate). Then use your white addy of choice suitable for the tiling.
