S Stoobloo - Jun 26, 2024 #1 Some adhesives give info (not seemingly Mapei). I think the Mapei Standard Set Plus would suit be well as a DIY'er. How do I know what trowel type/size to use? Does it really matter? I'll be fixing 60x30 ceramic wall tiles to Marmox boards.

R Richardp - Jun 26, 2024 #2 If its in wet areas tape and tank any joins in boards and fixing screws & washers. Then 6mm square notched trowel for walls back butter tiles. 10-12mm square notched trowel on floor... again back butter tiles. Personally I dont like Mapei products, much prefer instarmac ultra s1 adhesive and tilemaster grout 3000. If in doubt, hire a professional.
