Adhesive for quartz tiles

Hi, I'm new here.
I have read a lot of the threads but am still unsure about what to do. I have quartz tiles, the packaging says to use a 'latex' type adhesive. I take it this means to use a two part adhesive i.e. it is not mixed with water(?), or does it just mean it must be a flexible adhesive. There seems to be a lot of confusion about quartz tiles (mine are not the cheap ones). A well known tile outlet sold me the 1 part Granfix fastset/flexible (C2FT) rated, but I don't think I can trust the advice they give. These people seem to give conflicting advice, another also said what I had would be OK even after I referred to the 'latex' bit. Please can someone specify a brand name/spec for suitable latex adhesive. It is going onto a layer of SLC on warmup insulation boards over a reinforced timber floor.

Hi, I have used Mapei keraquick with latex plus additive for this type of tile, never had a problem. Hope this helps.

Mapei ElastoRapid S2 or Mapei Granirapid S1 , both 2 part adhesives for conglomerate stone tiles.

from previous posts on this forum im just under the impression that these type of products are no good to be using Neale. may be that when i have seen posts about using fix and grout products have taken to avoiding everything that does 2 jobs lol

Ash some quartz tiles can curl if you don't use a two part, they don't like water. Some contain more resin than quartz, mostly the poor quality ones.

no lol.. i think since seing posts about the 2 in one adhesives and grouts being the worst to use i have steered clear of any product that does 2 jobs. hopefully that helps lol

Its not a 2 in 1 adhesive....its a 2 part adhesive !

Its a 2 part adhesive, as in a powder and a latex additive to mix with it instead of water. It's not a grout as well.

because the 2 in one addys have such a bad reputation i was under the impression that any adhesive or grouts that does 2 jobs is no good... but now i will have to look into what is good and whats not.

actually yes Neale in a way mate or vise versa. i thought there were 2 different coping metheds in the two adhesives so didn't think a product stating that it does both jobs would be any good due to 2 in 1 adhesives and grouts having such a bad rep. i think that is what i should of said.... and if this makes no sense to any of ya im goin to bed lol

For fixing Quartz (gulfstone) use TileMaster Ulitmate S2.

Lots of conflicting advice about fitting quartz and technically you should use a 2 part adhesive.
Having said that I don't, Hate the stuff (my opinion), I agree with lee@ tiletown
A S2 adhesive states that it is suitable for quartz tiles and in fitting Gulf stone since it arrived in this country I have never had a problem using it.

I actually dont like it myself and I see it as a fashion trend. Wouldnt have it in my house.
