Adhesives and tanking compatability

I always use cement based Flexi on tanked walls, just to be safe and make sure the tiles stick properly.
Some brands of tanking such as the Ardex System do not like tub adhesive. Saw one job that had been done : Ardex tanking, ceramic tiles, tub adhesive : The tiles fell off the wall, adhesive did not set properly or bond to the wall.

pretty sure most tanking kits say to use cement based addy,had this arguement with an employee who works in one of the trade places i use,he was trying to palm of white star or grip to customers for me to use....no way!

Well took the forum's advice and got a tiler that did do tanking which took all the worry out of the dilemma I was in.
