i applied for the FREE ad back in july last year!
i have had 2 calls from it since then,1 looking to purchase clay tiles - the other 1 was for a quote who then decided otherwise b4 i got to the house!

Yeah,i put an advert in last year in the freebie bit of yell and got nothing.Pushed the boat out in january and paid £175 for an advert on yell.com and have had a good response from it.As mentioned before on the forum,it all depends on the area you are in..Dunc

Got the free listing.

They called me yesterday to get me to take out a propper ad instead of just the plain old line entry.
Worked out more expensive than the printed book, so no thanks, I'll see how the book goes first.

Spend your money elsewhere.

An electrician that i have worked with several times told me he had a meeting with a very nice lady from yellow pages. He explained that he had little to no response to his addwhich he had paid a few hundred pound, she said that in her experience his add was not big enough and should also be in colour. How much he asked to be told £9000.00 would probably generate some enquiries.

That was the end of what he was hoping was the start of a lovely relationship between himself and (nice lady)
