thank you

First choice for me would be a piece of granite but i'm currently doing an en-suite where the customer is keen to have it tiled so i'm making a removeable tiled top about 1.5mx0.2m, it will be siliconed all around in matching colour to grout so it will look as if it is unremoveable

errr he's a quick sketch if it makes sense

i'll upload pics once it's done next week

Small bit of oak (you can buy window sill sized pieces, by the metre), stone, or if you really don't want to spend much, you could bullnose a bit of MDF, and gloss it up. Depends on the look you're going for with the rest of the cloakroom really..
With regards to the Ply.. I'd give that a miss in favour of either plasterboard, or tile backer board. ;)

As Gamma38. choose one of the cisterns that you can service everything through the flusher plate. I've used the Grohe one at home and the design to allow acess to everything through the hole exposed when the flusher plate is removed is excellant (i've never had to get to anything but i did have a play when i fitted it about 10 years ago)

the cistern already in place. and customer not willing to spend any penny extra. so I explain to them what I will do and will follow advice from Colour Republic. Hope it will work. This is my first job which required first and second fixing on plumbing
