Advice Needed

Hi guys, I'm starting a bathroom in the next few days and just wanted to check something. I havn't been tiling long and this is the first time I've done a job with a skirting tile. Basically I just wanted to check if there is anything I need to bear in mind or is there anything that I need to do differently from a normal wall and floor job.

Here's a basic view of the shape of tiles I'll be using.

Are you tiling the walls to the sub floor...then tiling floor tiles up to the walls..and planting the skirting tiles over the top...pronounced ???...or are the skirting tiles on and grouted flush in with the rest??

Sorry Gaz, get you now. Yeah, the skirting tiles will be flush with the wall tiles.

mark out the floor to the walls ie cuts going up.Tile the floor and the skirts to the best possible level...the wall tiles sit on the skirtings.Then tile up the walls ..job done...not a job for a newbie ..without help....no disrespect meant......Gaz

Would it be alright to put a cut just above the skirting tile or would I need to start with a full tile.

Also, will I tile straight onto the skirting tile and work my way up or should I still attach batton to wall?

Tile the floor then put your skirting tiles round then start wall tiles as normal, if you have to start with a cut tile then thats fine.

do ya floor then add your skirt tile put a baton round leaving a cut between ya first full tile and your skirt. if not then if ya floors out it'll cause a **** load of problems
