hi
i have bought a old house and am trying to restore it to it former glory and have order multicoloured slate for the floor.
when i took the old kitchen out i found that the floorboards were rotten so decided i was going to replace them until i realised there was concrete underneath with timber beams set in it. would i be ok to latex over the top of the concrete and beams or would i have to remove the timber beams first. the concrete has blackjack over it also so would it be an idea to reseal it.

any advice would be much appreciated
