Advice on what adhesive/primer to use for plasterboard

I really need your advice!

I have plasterboarded my bathroom (going to tank the shower area so didnt feel the need for MR PB).

Can someone suggest a good primer and addy please? I must be able to buy instore somewhere I can pickup (am based just outside glasgow).

The tiles i will be putting up is 9mm ceramic 300mm by 200mm.

Also, i will be putting the same tile on the floor. I was going to ply over with 12mm ply then screw down. What addy will i use for this? (again needs to be somewhere that stocks instore so i can pickup)

Pretty sure plasterboard does not need priming buddy there should be a bottle of primer in the tanking kit for the shower area, i use ultra or bal addy use a bagged one not the tubbed type

I'd be using 6mm hardie backer board glued and screwed for the floor rather than the ply.....

Some people prime the bare PB, some dont. Suppose it depends on the addy!

Check with the instruction on the tanking kit to see if the boards need priming.....

The tanking kit is just for the shower area above the bath.

I was talking about primer for the rest of the Plasterboarded room...

I like Mapei products so I'd use Primer G on the walls and fix with Adesilex P9. For the floor, I'd overboard with 6mm Hardie fixed with Keraquick & 25mm screws and fix tiles with Keraquick too.

Go into CTD, either Helen st or London rd depending what side of the toon you are.
Set up an account or try & use someone's.
They have got a cracking deal on Ardex tanking kit just now..
