Hi there. Need some expert help/guidance/advice please.
I plan to tile the entire floor of newly created kitchen/dining room that I will get by combining the space from areas previously used as inner hallway/downstairs loo & a kitchen.
Firstly though I need to replace the current chipboard floor built over a hotchpotch of joists and concrete sleeper walls. There is an approx 3 ft void below the floor which I also need to insulate appropriately as part of replacing the floor just as soon as the plumbers and electricians have finished doing their stuff!
My question is, given that I would like to tile the floor (5.25m x 2.85m), what is the best material to replace the floor with but at the same time the most economical. Then what would be the best product to fix the tiles with (tile type not currently decided).
Options with pros & cons would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Lisa
