You will need to find out if you can tile on it, might just need a primer or some kind of over boarding like no more ply. I am sure someone on here will put you rightlike a wood composite board but not mdf. Big sheets.

I recall we all decided it wasnt worth the risk of tiling onto. It was a waterproof coating if i recall correctly and grey in colour?
