We had about 40sq meters of polished white porcelain tiles laid down in June so we are looking for some advise on how to maintain it. They have been cleaned and sealed once with a product made by LTP, this is something the store recommended we use. The tiles could do with a little clean so was wonder which products I could use as the LTP stuff didn’t really make that much of a difference. We usually mop the floor but as there’s a lot of area to cover we are thinking of buying a steam cleaner/mop. Are these ok to use on polished tiles?

We have also got white grouting which is starting to look dirty so I got down on my knees and tried scrubbing it, did the trick but I was knackered by the time I got to the half way point. Any advise on brushes or cleaners for the white grout?

Thanks

LTP grimex. And then re-seal. Buff off excess sealer before it dries.

I am not a fan of these steam cleaners.
What grout was used ? and before you mop the floor its always good practice to either use a microfibre dry mop to pick up the dust and other loose stuff or use a vacuum cleaner with a hard floor attachment. No point mopping the floor that has dirt on it.

I have got a spare bag of grout in the garage so I will have look. I always sweep the floor before mopping it, tried using the dyson but I think I need to invest in one those flat floor tools. I wasn't too sure on steamer, saw a groupon offer for a Vax steamer and was tempted into buying it, just wanted to do a bit of research before using it on the floor as I don't want to damage the tiles.

I dont have any personal experience with these steam cleaners but for as many people say they are good, the same amount say they are a waste of time.
