British Gypsum said that only Universal One Coat was the only product that would be guaranteed to be used on that type of block. It was hollow terracotta from Poland. I think the customer thought they were saving money when buying it. It's 3 years into the build & not even half done & my guess is there's at least £200k been spent on it so far. They've went through builder after builder with this project. I said I'd try a day with the stuff. Never again. I said to go back to BG & ask if it can be dot & dabbed. If so, I'll do the rest of the build

It's got to be dot and dabbed looking at the state of the walls, never used one coat...

I,ll bet it last a lot longer than half a day just because the price is cheap I,ve had a Dewalt mixer that didnt make six months that burnt out and burnt a hole in my pocket well over rated I know its cheap but I,ve had tools before from Aldi,s even a generator from the same make and still use it after five years.

Time's Ran Out

Back to subject of the mixing paddle - not sure if it's aimed at the professional tiler or DIY - with respect to the warranty/guarantee, but we bought 2 of these Aldi machine the last 2 times they were available (the first over 2 years possibly) and the second machine is still in it's box unopened in the van as a back up! The first machine is still going strong with a new Wickes paddle for £16.
So far the best £40 of tiling tool ever bought.

Gazzer

There are some tools worth buying from these stores but I can remember buying a router from them a while back. It was like a death trap, I really feared it would shake to pieces or electrocute me.
Maybe it was because it had too many parts on it that were not precise like brand makes.
i also have a table saw and that has lasted me about 6 years , only replaced the blade with a quality one. Its noisy but you get what you pay for.
