It was cheap enough. Think mine was only 8 quid, a hawk is a hawk to me, buy a cheap hawk and spend your money on a good trowel! Most people use an offcut of ply for a spot board, a hawk does the same thing except that you hold it. haha

I usually make my own hawk from a peice of spare ply (always got off cuts kicking around) and a peice of 19x35 tile batten for the handle. A hawk is a hawk.... My trowel was rather more pricey.... Not done any plastering for a while though...

Even i'm not that tight! do you use a piece of baler twine to hold your traccies up too? I'm only joking mate. A hawk is most definately just a hawk
