No i don't think so mate, the fact your on hear asking questions shows that you are keen to do things the right way. There is a ton of stuff that you will learn on the products in the next couple of years and it's that knowledge that is vital for a good installation and your in the right place for that knowledge.......... What tile are you using in the shower area porcelain, ceramic, stone etc? what is the current substrate? How flat/level are the walls? What is the size of the tile? The more info you give us the more chance we have of helping you out :smiley2:

Not sure of specific details yet as I've only seen pictures of the bathroom. It's for a friend of my girlfriend I'm proposing to do the job for. (See pics below).

I'll be getting tile info soon but I would imagine they'll be ceramic. I'll have to tank the area since it's a shower. Substrate condition, no idea. As the bath is in both the corners i can only assume the walls are straight but who knows.

Thank you for being so encouraging. Sincerely.

I'll get more info and create a post for it as I've kind of taken over the OP's post - (sorry OP)

Looks fairly straight forward to me, you will only be able to judge the walls once the tiles come off and at that point you will also know what the substrate is so when you get this info let us no and we'll point you in the right direction. As a general rule for the next few months i would only use slow setting (Also called standard set) flexible white powder adhesive on pretty much every job you get. Personally i use Weber products on 90% of my jobs but we all have our preferred brands, Weber, Bal, Mapei, Ultra, Niccobond, there all good and even Topps own stuff is good.

Good idea to tank wet area, i tank every job i do, even if there is no shower i will still tank 300mm or so above the bath top. Go slow and it should be fine.

Thanks so much, TJ. I really appreciate your help :)

Do I need special hole saws for tiles or do standards one work ok?
