Thanks for the warm welcome. And who would think I would have go to the UK to find you Rob!
I've attached some pictures of a recently completed project. Used 30 x 60 cm (12" x 24" for Rob and I) travertine and some onyx mosaic as the accent row and shower pan.
The green stuff on the shower walls and floor is the Laticrete Hydroban Waterproofing. Everything is grouted with their Spectralock Epoxy Grout.
Used the TLS Leveling System for the travertine.
I know Mapei is good stuff too and I do occasionally use it. But here Laticrete has a great reputation for customer service even for small contractors and great products.

Life is a lot more relaxing here than Hawaii 5-0 would lead you to believe. They have a new version out, not sure if you got it across the pond yet.
Mahalo (Hawaiian for thank-you) for the compliments. And thanks for the vote of confidence Rob. While I learned the trade in New York and love being in Hawaii my home state and first 19 years of my life were spent in the beautiful state of Virginia.
Whats the general consensus here on the TLS? While lurking around I see that the lash system doesn't get high reviews. I never used that, always viewed that as more of a diy product. I found with the TLS that you still have to have the skill to get the tiles flat and level but it helps the fine tuning and makes sure your tiles stay where you lay them. And I regretfully had to remove a few damaged tiles and the coverage was still excellent. Didn't notice any voids. If anything it has a tendency to suck the tiles down to the neighbors not raise them out of the mud. Can a good installer do a good job without them? Yes. But will it make your day a lot easier? My opinion is yes.
