Am I just being snooty or does the result look the same as the "before"

cool....thats nice!!!! Unfortunately us brits have no dynamics in taste..I think we all fear the new so hey ho lets stick back the same as the old as your pics hav shown...such a shame really
But those pics are from America.

Hope I'm not appearing too negative about the "Before & After" job, as he obviously put an awful lot of time and effort into the job but it appears that this guy has replaced an old tired look with a new tired look. Going on the fittings that have been used, I also get the impression that it was work carried out abroard e.g. Spain etc.

But as per the old saying: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

Its funny but when I saw the Silicon shot (this is it below) my first thoughts were that he was using cornertape. Not because he was doing the Silicon work. But because it appears that he is using some sort of product to get a neat finish.

If you look at the piccie there appears to be blue tape set out with a gap in the middle. At first I thought it was the US version of corner tape. But if I am not mistaken it looks like he has run two pieces of blue tape.

Has he improvised and done his own thing? Or is there someone out there nicking your idea in the US? I am going to assume the first

PS: If he HAS improvised then one thing it tells you is that there is a need or market for it in the USA and that they know what to do... If you can crack the USA then what a market! Maybe at T&S show we should see if we can pool ideas to get both our products over there. Lets fly the British flag. Now all we need is a tile convention in viva las vegas.
