Another shed goes down

They have one there, but they are in the middle of building a new one in Dunfermline at the Halbeath interchange, Right next to the Hyundai Plant that was never opened.......

I was one of the last contractors working at the Hyundai plant before the plug was pulled. In fact every major factory (nearly all tech related) I was involved in the construction of has closed and some even demolished. I'm beginning to think I'm a jinx :lol:

And the news has announced today that around 3000 jobs are definitely going to be lost with the closure of around 120 stores. Wickes and B&Q have been busy buying up stores in areas where they currently have no presence and around 900 jobs have been saved, allowing staff to transfer to new owners/employers. The Focus store across the road from me has been bought by Wickes as B&Q already had 2 stores within a 5 mile radius of this site.

Ironically, the site where the previous Focus store stood in my local area got sold off for a housing development a number of years ago when Focus moved to their new site across the road from my house. The properties on the development are finished but about 25% remain unsold and the roads/pavements and communal areas haven't been finished off by the developers yet. Prices are being slashed to get the last few houses sold no doubt so they can finish the roads and get the development adopted.

apparently B and Q have (or are buying) Kendal store

I have read that B&Q is going to buy some of focus stores.B&Q wants to expand anyway and it will just made them to expand faster.that was in newspaper 2 weeks ago. So hopefully jobs will b saved.
