Anyone got advise on a Tomecanic tile cutter

Ive tried looking for info on the tomecanic tile cutter,but there seems little...has anyone got experience of this brand

they used to sold over here by tiletrim ( south london) when i look for a new one ( dry flat bed 24" cut ) the only place i could find the was U.S.A. site. bought a wet cutter about 18 mths ago from "contractors ditrect "no guts motor to weak (800W). used only once !! but flat bed dry cutters are brill. realy well made . had two for 15 years now. spot on !!

thanks a great deal paul!...i know of 1 place in the uk...its called emc somewhere north of england...i think there the only ones...i called trimline funny enough the other day and they no longer stock them...anyways...from what ive seen on youtube,,they look a pretty cool cutter...with your opinion as well...im pretty sure i,ll end up buying the supercoup750... thanks 4 advise

Actually Paul!...could u tell me a little about the build quality,and what the good points are..ie where would you say they are say!against a sigma and maybe a rubi? cheers

I used to own one, years ago good heavy duty machine as I recall. It got left on a job in the US, don't know how it would compare with Rubi or Sigma of today

very robust. floating sprung bed. realy easy cutting action .one solid rail that head runs on .so easy to see what you are doing . these are a realy good tool you will not be disappointed mate.. look after it and it will last you years . oh and when you order get a spare wheel. last a long time but you never know ? with all this work you will be doing with it a

Found the cutter very easy to use and cuts porcelain no problem. Would buy one myself but already have various Rubi cutters.

I've used a tomecanic wet table saw before, my local tile shop does them, they seem to be quite robust, but they look a bit flimsy, and a bit colourful (like a childs toy!). The blades they supply seem to wear out a bit quick though. I went through 3 saws in 1 year once, but, because they were under a years warranty, I only had to pay for 1 of them :lol:.

Hi Ken...looks like your close to me,...i work in wootton near bedford...checked out your website..looks good m8!...then tomecanic i had in mind was the flatbed dry cutter...i think im set on buying it at somepoint,just wanted to get a few angles from people as to what they thought...cheers for your input

They do a pretty sturdy looking carrycase to go with it as well.
