anyone got vitrex twin paddle mixer

has anyone got one of these ,just considering getting one,and cant find a review.wondering if twin paddle means its gna burn out quicker.1650w

I have a rubi one and they are a nightmare to keep clean and not standard m14 thread if i recall...

If you want a decent mixer at a reasonable price , then try the evolution twister.

I've got one. I haven't made my mind up on it yet though. Its certainly 'different' to using a single paddle mixer. It does mix rather well though. Takes a bit more cleaning after as well, getting your brush in between the whisks

description says m14.120mm, where as single vitrex 1400w is m14,140mm. what ever that means!

Had my twister about 3 yrs now. They can be bought for around 80 odd quid

I have a sure fire way of cleaning my paddle with ease. 20ltr bucket half filled with the smallest smooth pebbles then water. After your mix, dip in, spin up and your paddle comes out spotless.

Yes i do it every time. I now just keep the pebbles in the bucket and fill up with water as normal. Then there is never any build up, try it.

ill have too do it on the quiet, just incase you are pulling my leg.but i do believe you.better to be safe.when i was working in window factory a few years back,some bad person got a trainee to go to manager and ask for some ky jelly, to help lubricate the machine,i think the lad quit!

I have still got my freud going strong. I have just done a few days with Andy Carroll and son, they have a Rubi, young Andy prefared my Freud.

Spin mine in water and then give it a rattle with the hammer every day or two. Does the job.

Have a Hitachi mixer and a Twister mixer, but lately been using a £35 Lidl variable speed soft start mixer which is just as good. Hasn't felt under strain at all yet and usually mix full bags at a time. Worth the money if it lasts a year.

Coz my rubi duplex still hasn't been booked for repair (nearly seven weeks waiting now) I've taken to using my Makita 18v li-ion cordless. It mixes a full bag of sticky easily and the best bit is this: to clean the whisk like new I just put it on full speed in reverse.
Its worth buying one just for mixing!
