Don't quote me on this, but I think Laticrete invented what is now commonly used as tiling adhesive.

Before them I think it was all sand/cement.

Yep used it about 15 years ago on green concrete, very good but costly at the time done 3 train platforms about 2200m with it.

Yes used it 5 years ago when our local tile market store stocked it, used it on green screed before 2 part system which was very costly indeed ! Like other brands they had super flex and a super duper flex , they had lots of grout colours and different spec grouts ! I found their stuff to be good. ! I thought they had pulled out of uk years ago !
