I was going to say..... LONG HOURS!

Paul (my tiler) did 37 square meters of porcelain in one very long day of 8am to 3am in the morning. NON STOP. 19 hours of work and he earnt £925 cash.

I did help him by doing some of the cuts but he mostly did it on his own using a rubi cutter to score and snap the 600x300

We did as much wet cutting outside ahead of the 9pm watershed (IE a self imposed "no noise" for the neighbours on the tile cutter)

He ate as he worked.

His only mistake was at 1am when he put the mini-tiles round my loo. Instead of tiling down the side and then overlapping on the front he tiled the front first then overlapped the side.

I also avoided trim so we wet cut the cubby-hole tiles etc.

Mini-tiles should have been fitted to the side and the top first then covered by the ones at the front. But the only mistake after 17hours into a 19 hour tile marathon.

The other thing to say is that I had to do my own grouting a week later (you have to leave porcelain tiles longer to get air behind the tiles and dry out) and his knees were gone for about 4 days. But that is an old injury.
