B+Q porcelain

fitted some beige 400x400 of these today. 36 sqm of the shading was all over the place. tried mixing boxes and everything. nothing worked just looks like a patchwork quilt. got the customer in and showed her but she didnt seem too bothered. no batch numbers on any of the boxes so couldnt even match them up :mad2:

They are so cheap you cannot expect anything else, always show the customer any flaws or differences in colour before laying or it could bite you on the arse

its the luck of the draw i recon
them black 600 x 600 i put down a couple of weeks ago were fine
still at that price the punters cant moan can they

i showed her the floor and she told me to carry on tiling. if she ordered more the would only be a different shade again. i read the boxes and it as much says dry lay all tiles to find best look as tiles are different shades. what do you expect for around £10 sqm

Thgats exactly it Wayne, what do people expect for that price a meter.

It seems that B+Q are using them as a bit of a loss leader, I seem to recall only up to a cple of months ago they werent advising the product needed to be sealed until they had tonnes of complaints.
