No need for back buttering when you use dot & dabs ;) fails every time :)

:devil: back butter every tile , wall or floor, all the time. gives much better bond. plus if you do 10mm natural stone (white marble etc) in wet rooms, when walls/floor get wet, dots will show.

10mm trowel used at an angle will give approx 8mm bed, press your tile down firmly and there's your 5mm :thumbsup:
get away with ya,never :lol:,

just would of thought most adhesives would be able to do thicker than 5mm,aint a right lot really in the grand scheme of things
