The Ball wall Grout never go hard rock it always stay a bit soft because its flexible. It will be always easy to scratch off and a bit soft. Floor grout is different.

Bal wall grout (standard) definitely doesn't stay soft.
I use this grout more than any other grout on the market & it's a pig if you need to try & get any out.
Even modified with GT1, it still goes rock hard.
