BAL grout

Hi all,

Approx week/10 days ago our tiler tiled a bathroom with BAL grout. We have today gone back to finish off and the grout is still soft and not gone off at all. It can be scraped out. Has anyone else suffered with this or any ideas greatly appreciated, this is now urgent as has to be completed by xmas. Thank you

I suggest getting your tiler back to scrape it out (gently) and re-grout with something else or different batch of BAL grout. It's your tiler's responsibility to ensure the job is finished correctly.

Yes, as above, get tiler out! He in turn should contact bal rep for investigation. Never heard of this happening!!!

We used BAL micromax 2. We have damp tested it with a damp meter and it is dry. As soon as soapy water is squirted on it, it goes as soft as putty.

Yeah that doesn't sound very BAL, they're usually pretty good to be fair to them.

Let us know what's going on! Never heard of this before!
