Bal mixing buckets

Ok thicko question coming up:angel_smile: . When using the grout markings the 3.5kg mark on the bucket , is this how much water u should be using for 3.5kg of grout? Still trying to perfect my grouting so bought 1 but a bit confused by it(thought it looked like a lot of water) Told u it was a thicko question:wink_smile:

Yes the marks on the buckets are the amount of water...a question isnt stupid if you dont know the answer... ........dave..

p.s. trick is to put a little less water then you can add extra to suit your working conditons

And never put the whole bag in, just in case you add to much water. Like a good looking scottish tiler I know:embaressed_smile:

I never measure out water anyway, just keep adding some till I get the thickness I want to work with.

Mee too but measuring buckets are useful to newbies...also for special products bal do like multibase etc which require a powder to water ratio.....dave..

Just for any newbies out there, don't go mixing a full bag of grout, you will not have the time to use it before it goes off and end up wasting loads of it, the best thing to do is what Fekin and DH said and just ad small amounts of water at a time till you get a nice smooth consistency.
