Just had a letter thought the post about bal tiling courses.

just wondering if any of you have done or are gonna be doing them.

£160 for the advanced 2 day course seems really good as it covers a wide range of advanced tiling techiques.

Gonna put my deposit down this weekend

Hi tysfoot
I think any course run by BAL is bound to be a good 1 I am thinking about doing the same myself.... looks good and will deff give me a confidence boost

the advance course might be different, but bals 5 day courses are basic.

the 2 day course i presume will show you fastflex and just show you what impregnators bal use, be interesting to know if im wrong.

the two day course is designed for rendering walls prior to tiling, underfloor heating and other advanced tiling techniques. plus ill be using there bal products.

Seems really good

I guess it could be interesting if you end up using some products that you have never used before.

Since the days when British Gypsum ran dry lining courses the purpose of these courses hasnt changed :

If you cant tile go find someone who can to teach you because it will NOT make you a tiler so dont order vinyls for the van !!

If you can tile then you might pick up a tip but generally go to work

If you use Bal love Bal and are daft enough to think Bal is the answer to all your tiling issues then pack your bag.

Courses were dreamed up 20 yrs ago to increase product awareness, get you to use the promoters products and you could tell your clients you had been on a course. Some years ago the marketing departments realised that they could pay for their marketing oppotunity by charging for the courses.
Genius !!!

Oh hang on you will get a product manual or maybe a cap 🙂

read it again ad i still dont know what he's trying to say. why is politics coming into doing a training course :huh2:

What I am saying is these courses were designed as marketing and product promotion opotunities 1st and foremost lets not forget that.
