STEVES-HOME

Sorry if this is a repetitive post but, could someone please tell me what the difference between BAL White, Blue and Green is and a typical application for each please?

Thanks

hi steve,,they are all tubbed adhesives at different grades....to be honest i wouldnt touch bal green star, blue star i would use on kitchen splashbacks and white star it the best of the 3 with bathrooms being the choice for it being used on mate. for the money though i would choose mapei tubbed adhesive if i was too use tubbed gear it has a better price tag and does the same job

Green and Blue are both classed as D1 adhesives which means they are water sensitive.

White is a D2 adhesive which means it is water resistant but not suitable for total water submersion.

Blue is whiter than green but both are suitable for domestic shower areas providing you use a highly polymer modified grout/water proof grout/epoxy grout which stops the water ever getting to them.

Blue and Green can only fix ceramic tiles, white can fix porcelain up to 150 x 150.
