hi, new to forum.

we are laying the problematic but nice looking basalt tiles on a kitchen floor. followed all advice re water based impregnator, the tiles have come out like the following picture - they were laid only yesterday though.

question is: is this what you would expect? dark/damp patches where the adhesive is - which is water i guess. but will these patches disappear when it dries?

well, we've got a general builder in doing lots of renovations, been very happy with work up to now (plumbing/electrical/joinery) but it looks like he's never done stone tiles before i guess

He will have the labour & money to put it right then.Dont pay this guy any more money for anything
