Bath in or out before tiling?

Always bath in first. If you tile and the corner is out of square then the silicon looks unsightly. You can 'lose' the angle when you tile and sit the tiles over the bath.

What these lads said is bang on always a good idea to fill the bath with water before tiling just incase there is a bit of movement with the legs

Screw batons along the walls & fix the bath in place resting on top of batons, that way the bath won't dip in the middle.

Like above batten around bath, then apply Silicon to the bath edge and top of battens, then install bath, Silicon again. ( all this can be with relatively cheap Silicon. Tile bathroom , fill bath and then seal again with good quality mould resistant Silicon.
