Bath tile trims....advice needed

I'm just finishing of my first bathroom makeover, I've done all the work my self and am quite chuffed with the results (thanks in no small part to this forum):hurray:

I'm a bit stumped with how to trim the bath panel tho'...
I'm not sure how the trims under the lip of the bath will match up with the external corner of the panel, any advice? (see pictures)

PS, i purposely left the panelling for 3/4 weeks to ensure there were no problems with the plumbing/waste pipes.

Philip whats the panel made of ?

Its a cement based backer board (no more ply) the frame is very rigid, made from cls, verticles at 300 crs.

good for tiling well done mate but your tiles wont sit behind the lip on the bath am i correct ?

that's right, i was thinking of using a standard edgetirm under the lip of the bath and tiling up to that.

It's a nice job, but if you ever have a problem with those bath taps you will have to rip the bath out to sort it.

i always cut a slot in the board so the metal frame sits flush with the front of the board so when you tile it the tiles sit under the lip of the bath save water sitting there always think it looks a bit neater as well but it depends how much it protrudes also i always cut a panel out 20mm smaller than a tile/s as a access panel and Silicon the joint

Cheers, I know.. all joints are liquid ptfe'd and like i said i left it for 4 weeks before i panelled it to check all was well first.
I'll just cross my fingers.
It's all isolated and speedfit, so worst case i take off the end panel and replace, i'll keep some tiles spare

you can always cut through the grout and board i find the bath wastes the biggest problem over the years anyway good luck regards Pete

This was what i was thinking for the trims under the lip of the bath (see drg)
I just wasn't sure what trims were available for the external corner to match up with the mitred edge under the lip, if that makes sense....

if i get you right philip the external upright trim could be a square one (rather than round) which would match nicely with the two horizontal trims (at the 3 way mitre) hope this is of use...rik

yes philip square trim would work or you could mitre the vertical plane its not that hard and only a few tiles looking at the pics you look more than capable mate

Might be a daft question but why didn't you build the bath frame a bit narrower to accommodate your panel and tiles?

Grumpy most people put the panel against the bath frame instead of flush which makes it difficult to get the tiles under the bath lip
