Hi All, right told you i would be back before long. Have bought the tiles adhesive and grout fro the bathrooom floor but now need advise on fitting.
I have all the tools just need to clarify a few points.
The floor is 18mm ply (new) fixed down every 200mm with screws, extra nogins were installed at time of fitting .
I have just read i should have primed the edge and underside of the ply :incazzato:Unfortunateley this is not possible as its now got the bathroom suite fitted to it. I am confident its not going to move so hopefully will get away with this.
I have bought flexible adhesive and grout but just want to know if i should prime the ply with anything before tiling. The adhesive is mapei. I have some primer G for the plaster walls .
Would there be any benefit in using that plastic ply stuff over my plywood to add strength or will tiling direct be ok.
The tiles are cream/white polished porcelain 600x300 from topps tiles. do you recommend sealing or cleaning before fixing or should it be done after fixing and before grouting.
the bathroom floor is not huge approx 4ft square LOL so not expecting huge movement in it
All advice greatly appreciated
Nick
