bathroom floor advice

I wasnt planing on tiling my bathroom floor only the walls but i thought i would have a look ive got 4 lays of diffrent types of lino under all that ive got plywood board which looks like its been painted with something black im guessing its some sort of waterproofing. first bit of good luck ive had in ages . What else would i need to do to check that it would be to tile over its all nice and level.

What type of adhesive will i need to get for the floor tiles. They will be the same as the ones i want to put on my wall only the dark colour. they are 310mmx310mm ceramic floor/wall tiles im guessing i will need a flexi adhesive what about grout or can i use the same grout as the walls.

i plan on removing the toilet as i have a valve fitted already to turn off the water. My only worry i have is the toilet not fitting back onto the soil pipe.

And the skirting board is already off as i think it will look nicer.

strip it all back including the ply wood and re-ply or use cement boards if the floor is movement free,then re-tile
mapei keraquick adhesive and ultracolour grout

so i wouldnt have to use a flexi addy then ?

keraquick is flexible(with the additive) also you can use keraflex

kerquick as David says is a flexi addy (type S1) adding the latex makes it an S2 type and far more flexible

been trying to fit in work and sorting out the bathroom got around to removing the old lino and ply. Will get some pics up to you can see how its going. What thickness ply should i use ? 18mm

Ive had another look and 18mm is going to be far to much of a raise in the floor, would i be able to use Cement Board 6mm thick instead ? any other ideas im looking to get this floor down on sat if i can

what thickness was the ply you took up? are you down to the joists?

think it was about 9mm i have removed it now and im down to the floor boards but they have floor tiles stuck to it still. so far i have removed 1 layer of lino 2 layers of floor tiles the stickie type 9mm ply and final at the bottom of it all

started to rip up the floor boards tonight so im now down to the joists im going to lay 18mm exterior ply in the morning fixed every 6 inches. Ive looked in the forum and from what i can see thats all i have to do. hope im right in thinking i can tile staright to the ply using my keraquick with latex addy ?
