i got a call from a tiler today claiming that he had pulled his back and couldnt fit in a bathroom and would i be able to help ,what size tiles are they, whats is the floor constructed off ,are they any borders or vertical strips ,is there a shower in the room and what is the price ? were the questions I fired at him,its a 600x 400 glazed porcealin ,floor is plywood but the customer want a gulley under the bath so the tiles need to be enveloped ,there is a stone mosaic border and 2 vertical features stripe and they would like 20x 20mm led lights fitted in to the floo tile and the tiler needs to set these out run the cable and drill the holes out for the electrician ,in total 28sqm of tiling 11m of border work and 5m of vertical feature in stone mosaic and set out ,run the cable and drill 20 holes for light fittings ,supply all adhesive, grout ,tanking and metal edge trim £800 ,told him that i thought it wasnt a good price what do you think ?

pulled his back by the way ,I know he is working on another job this week so he didnt fancy it and is trying to dump it off on to another tiler when he found out how much work was involved

If your slack and could throw it out quick Gary but bad rates for there i say.
I spoke to a guy tonight who lives about 40 miles from me Gary, i was shocked to hear of the rates in that area.

You're just right Gary, another tiler threw me a job last week and i didn't enjoy it either.
I had enveloping etc to do too.
