BCT tiles again

It wasn't long ago that I said BCT tiles were ok...I take it all back. Today using some 50 x 30 rubbish, I swear they weren't even square let alone same size !

If anyone uses them go for a 3mm joint, you may just do it :mad2:

Can't stand the damn things, worst tiles ever. Totally agree mate not even close to being square.

Not very often you'll get a choice of what you're fitting, it's a real skill in itself fitting tiles from BCT, lol!

yeh majority mate just need a decent score cutter got a 300mm one but need a bigger one theres a 500mm in Wilkinson only 30 quid i know its gonna be but im skint as atm lol

Not very often you'll get a choice of what you're fitting, it's a real skill in itself fitting tiles from BCT, lol!

il advise someone to get them tiles when im more experience try and test meself haha

Fitted quite a few of the 250x400's and they weren't too bad for size. What I liked about them was how matt they were.

All was fine until one job I fitted them in a shower area... turn the water on and they all went different colours :doh:

I notice a lot of the Wickes tiles are BCT

I've never known Bct to be any good , bathroom company I do work for supplied a a few of the 500 x 300 sizes in white Matt and gloss ,until we complained about them not being square and poor sizes, needless to say the company don't stock them anymore !

BCT supply modular metric size tiles 248x398 etc as for their quality control, EVERY tile goes passed a camera at the end of the production line, and poor quality or substandard tiles are rejected immediately, however, the tolerances for acceptance can be altered accordingly, when I worked at BCT I believe they were set at 94%

Supply and demand , customers want cheap prices then they get just that... cheap tiles..


I do hope BCT are ok as PHG are using them for new tile ranges 🙂
