best levelling compound

Hi i'm looking to tile a kitchen floor but was wondering if anyone could recommend the best levelling compound. the floor is 14m2 has a big dip in it of 30mm I normally use bal multibase but not sure if it is capable of leveliing such a big area let me know what you guys think ardex maybe ?:whatchutalkingabout

ardex very good we use ultra level it 1 very good goes up to 50mm in one hit . for only 14m2 i would use ardex allow 1 bag=1m2 at 15mm hopes this helps:8:

i would do the job in sand and cement work it out 15 bags of leveling compund between 150-300 depending on the brand the time it costs you to level it 2-3hrs including preparation of the subfloor you will still nedd 4-5 bags of adhesive 40-60 so your costs before you lay a tile are between 300-500 before you have even laid a tile ,if you do it in sand and cement depending on the method you choose it will cost 40- 60 for the sand and cement and 15 for the sbr bond here are some pics to show you what i mean

nice job gary do you use the sbr as a slurry as well, how thin have you gone down ;to and is that building sand?

thanks chaps think I will go for the ardex ultra I have already warned the customer of the possible cost but they are fine no choice really big old porcelain tiles 600 x600 so needs to be flat as a pancake

Ardex and Ultra are 2 separate companies mate.

nice job gary do you use the sbr as a slurry as well, how thin have you gone down ;to and is that building sand?

with sbr bond you can go down to 10mm ,it is sharp sand with white cement with a white cement sbr bond slurry coat the tiles are the dreaded b/q porcelain sealed with fila mp-90 sealer and mapei jasmin grout
