Best method to remove grout without damaging the tiles

Hi guys
iv got a big shower room in a golf club that needs re grouting as the white original 3mm grout isn't very white any more! Just wanted if there is a quicker method out there!

ive heard but have not tested that the bosch multi tool takes a grout remover bit and its apparently fantastico lol

I used the hand held (slow method) grout rake and rake knife .
With precision the tiles will be safe

Yea tea bad iv got the bosch multi tool so gonna try that however I'm worried about not touching the tile.
i thought the grout rake is gonna be the best, I'm gonna have three people including me on it so hopefully it will go alright.

I'm not sure bud, just did a visual with the owner that I know, doing it for a membership so if we can't get it done quick it won't be worth it! But yea it's rather large. Ill post pics when I get them.

i wuld personally go with this option too you just cant risk any damage to tiles can you

Tbh there only the standard white cheap general tiles but really don't have the time to waste re tiling!

having never done a re-grout how deep are you intending to go is it the depth of tile of a couple of mm in?

You will need to clean the joints first.

cheap white are generally ceramic... very easy to chip if not careful. Good luck, will be good to see a before & after pic

I have a bathroom to regrout for a mate. Tried the vitrex electric grout out tool...rubbish. Then went back to the old hand scraper...even worse. Would be easier to retile it. I dont normally do regrouting but thought as its a mate I would. Grout only been in a year but in the shower its started going mouldy, has cracks along edges and silicon is black. Rest of the room is good as new. No movement in tiles with cracks in grout. Told it was all tanked and tiles fixed with white cement adhesive. Must be something reacting in shower

I would prepare all surfaces with Dettol mould remover spray. This stuff is magic my gf absolutely loves it.
I would then use the aforementioned grout stain. Used it a few times now. Its really good !

Easiest membership you will ever make ! I would pour the bottles into plain ones ! Its nice to keep secrets between us lot !

Apologies for the pics first time iv posted them. Basically I wouldn't ever recommend taking on a re grouting job! Quicker to re tile! We ended up with grinders and a thin blade which was quick but you had to be pretty spot on!

I've got the Bosch multi tool but with the half round diamond blade bit and it took ages might need to get the rake bit for it!

i have just took regrouting off my website its sutch a horrable job and really harmfull to you and your customer if you do not have the correct dust managing equipment and ppe i used to use my makita multitool with the bocsh grout attachment works quite well if you are going like for like with colour
